The celebration of Light - Diwali

Typical array of oil-lamps in the celebration of light.

When I heard that Mr. President greeted the world and the America by saying happy Diwali and it's time to share some "Mithai", I just snatched the videolink from my friend's social networking webpage and shared it in my profile. I just respect his respect to other culture, religion and nation.

I saw the celebration of Diwali in the fourth largest city in the states. I saw the picture of Diwali-celebration in India in one of the Indian Ivy league universities. Hell and heaven difference.
Here, in the states, there is the glitter, you can easily see, of richness but back there like in one of the developing countries, in India you can easily feel the passion, the dedication and the sustainability.
Probably people become green, sustainable whenever they feel the importance of money. India, being one of the poor country, has this sustainability knowledge in his blood, I guess. Even I realized when I talked to some slum-dwellers awhile ago this sustainability lesson came into my mind. Their life. Their way of living is very low standard. Hell-yes! very damn low standard. I learned from them not to care about the world. You are what you are. They are happy with their dwellings under the railway platform! They have nothing to loose. Everyday a new day. Only you can learn and live. May be live at its fullest.

Using clay-pot; using tables as ladder; not to use electricity are just a simple example of green-ness.

   Composition.

    Part to whole.

In the end....(it does not even matter how hard you try!) in India.

       In the end......in Houston, USA.

In this celebration of light, it traditional to paint the floor with colors. Fill your life with colors. I miss those days. Although...I don't know. If I could not have seen this end of the world then how could I have realized that that was so beautiful. Anyway, I have to leave because youtube is live telecasting U2's live. BONO is singing...with or without you. I just can't wait here writing. Bye for now.

Go through these snaps! These are awesome.

This festival is about light.
Lights to kick darkness's ass.
Light to choose the right path, right direction.
Enlightenment of life.
